Sustainability Reporting

Sustainability Reporting is a report published demonstrating a company’s impact on the 3 pillars of Sustainability; Economic, Environmental, and Social. It shows an organizations values and demonstrates the link between its strategy and its commitment to a sustainable global economy.   Sustainability reporting forces companies to gather information about impacts that may not have been measured before.

This reporting can serve as a differentiator in competitive industries and foster investor confidence, trust and employee loyalty. The benefits are immense as Sustainability disclosure helps organizations measure their impacts and mitigate false information being published which in turn provides a strong structure to manage efficiently and set more vigorous long-term goals. In addition, reporting builds strong trust between stakeholders and the company by giving a more transparent look into the backbone of the company.  This leads to better decision making which helps encourage and maintain trust in businesses and governments. In a recent study it was found that 88% of firms that published sustainability reports say it led to an increase in efficiency and decrease in waste.

Sustainabilityreporting has seen a steady rise as about 50% of S&P companies now publish reports and more than 5,500 reports are published worldwide. It is important to note that this service isn’t only completed by large corporations.  Sustainability reports are published by companies of all types, sizes and sectors from all parts of the world.  These reports are published in reference to GRI’s SustainabilityReporting Guidelines, the most common used guideline globally.  The GRI Guidelines enable all organizations worldwide to assess their sustainability performance and disclose the results in a similar way to financial reporting.

Here at GE3S we specialize in Developing Sustainability Reports for organizations of any size.  Our team of 20+ employees has over 50 years of experience in the environmental and sustainability sector and take pride in putting sustainability into practice.
