Some basics of the LEED Green Associate Credential exam:
In order to qualify for the LEED Green Associate Credential, one requires to pass a two-hour exam. The examination consists of 100 questions. All the questions are multiple choice questions, i.e. you have to choose one from the provided four options. The LEED Green Associate Credential exam tests your knowledge of good environmental understanding as well as analytical skills. This also tests and analyses your understanding of sustainable design requirements as well as the LEED certification process.
Eligibility Criteria for the LEED Green Associate Credential exam:
Before taking the exam, one must look at the eligibility criteria for becoming LEED GA. A candidate is required to have at least one of the following;
·         Experience of working on a LEED-registered project previously
·         Having work experience or working in the sustainability sector
·         Studying or may have completed education in a program that covers sustainable design and green building requirements.
Type of Exam questions
The LEED Green Associate Credential exam questions assess the candidate’s knowledge in three ways or types of questions:
1.  Recall questions: These questions test the direct knowledge of green concepts as mentioned in the reference documents. This questions could include defining terms or concepts, select facts from given options, distinguish or find components or stages in a process related to green building certification.
2.    Application questions: These questions evaluate a candidates understanding of processes and performance. It can also require one to establish how things work in LEED certification. Some times calculations may have to be performed using formulas provided in the reference guide, correcting sequence of steps provided.

3. Analysis questions: Such questions tests a candidate’s reasoning, analytical as well as problem-solving skills.
